Your taxpayer dollars are being used to imprison children. CHILDREN.

It is sick, but we cannot look away. I’m grateful Diana is home, and will continue to show up and fight for all children to be free.

Great thread on Alito retiring, and if that happens a likely SCOTUS fight.

There is a 🧪angle.
The major scientific societies like @aaas.org should have a Supreme Court nominee fight strategy.

The Trump noms will be anti-science.
We shld draw up a plan now.

The president is overruling science to eliminate measures that protect us from pollution and environmental damage, mainly to benefit multinational corporations that have thrown money at his campaign, ballroom, and family.

It's simple corruption, and it will cost American lives and livelihoods.

Especially important in light of today's EPA news.

On how the privatization of climate data is creating a world where the best understanding of risk lives inside corporations, while the institutions of democracy increasingly struggle to insist upon full data and understanding. Essential reading.

You don't fight the enemy where you wish they were. You go and fight them where they *are*. (I can just hear Sun Tzu shouting "What are they *teaching* them in these schools..!")
By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Trump: widening inequality and the unchecked power of billionaires.

There's no "center" anymore between a takeover of the government by oligarchs and true freedom.

Dems need to learn this.

Q: What do you tell Americans who are concerned that repealing the endangerment finding comes at a host to public health and the environment based on science?

TRUMP: I tell them don't worry about it. This was all a scam. They'll have more money to spend for healthcare.

Once again, we are being far too lenient with DHS. Fascists move faster than legal and electoral systems can keep up.

While voting and litigation are vital, they are not enough to stave off a rapid, deliberate authoritarian effort.
In the last month ICE has bought warehouses in:

- Hagerstown, MD: $102 million
- Surprise, AZ: $70 million
- Hamburg, PA: $87 million
- Tremont, PA: $120 million
- San Antonio, TX: $82 million
- El Paso, TX: $123 million
- Social Circle, GA: price unknown

This is unprecedented.

Why did ICE detain a 7 year old child from Oregon-and then ship her to Texas

And why have they done this same thing to 3,800 other children

It’s deplorable. And make no mistake. Donald Trump is to blame
I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.
