The last NDAA restricted TRICARE from covering "certain medical procedures for children that could result in sterilization." The must-pass nature of the NDAA means Republicans can put in tons of anti-trans provisions. This would be a transgender Hyde Amendment.

I think we have an unreasonable confidence in the belief that up-and coming officers, intelligence analysts etc. will know better than to take this kind of unhinged stuff seriously- especially when the environment for promotions and dismissals is so fraught and politicized.
