I dont need to be awake for another 3 hours since I mostly work afternoons and evenings. But I am awake after just about 4 hours of sleep (couldnt get to sleep last night, yay insomnia), and Cookie obviously wants something 🙀

Had to bribe Cookie with some tuna to keep her off the counters (generally she's allowed up, but not after I've sanitized them to fix food, for obvious reasons).
The other cats are in the respective kiddos rooms, so worked out well.

I’ve never met a woman who wasn’t sexually harassed or abused at least once in her life (usually before she even turned 18) and I feel like we as a society aren’t mad enough about it.

Trans kiddos deserve normative puberty experiences. That should be our goal.
And not getting to start estrogens or androgens until they are 18+ is the result of transphobic policies. Not the result of the science that repeatedly tells us that trans kids absolutely know their own genders.

I totally missed that yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of my dissertation defense.
I've been Dr. Zeiger for 1 year and 1 day.
With things as they are, it has been a chaotic and stressful past 12 months. But it's a win worth celebrating, and I have hope that things can get better for everyone 💛

I've been practicing making icord for a project I'm going to need some white icord for (fun fact, the i stands for idiot).

I got to tell you, it feels little odd reading the laws. Seems I'm held to a higher standard than folks who have much more power than I, who have done some very public things that seem like they should fall under these laws 👀

When I tell you it was the opposite of "real quick"
BUT, it was doable and is done.
