Hey everyone 👋🏻 I’m a clinical psychologist mainly working with ADHD & autism, but I also have an interest and work in sport in relation to mental health. I’m ADHD myself, play and love football (I support Hull City, also follow Stockport County) and am parent to an amazing autistic sunbeam :)

I think Boris Johnson has managed to insult every #ActuallyAutistic person I know

Boris Johnson says he is ‘spectrum-y’ sometimes.

Boris Johnson says he is ‘spectrum-y’. As an autistic man, I’m disgusted
Johnson is just the latest male member of the elite to try to use autism as an excuse for his actions

Supporting people who grow up with/have grown up with a disabled brother or sister, the only UK charity representing the needs of over 500k young siblings and over 1.5m adult #siblings

Tough times for so many right now and many vital causes needing support -sharing this as its' one I'm v close to.
It continues to be challenging to raise money for our work with both young and adult siblings. It costs around £170,000 each year to fund the work our small team delivers, and we have a considerable way to go this year to be able to meet all of our costs. Please donate at www.sibs.org.uk/donate

This is painfully relevant. I stepped back from a specialist post supporting a marginalised group (asylum seeking families) as I didn’t have time or energy to fight the system from the inside & outside. My son’s unmet needs stop me from using my skills to help others.

Are any of you lovely people aware of any questionnaires or measures out there that are designed specifically for neurodivergent people to capture outcomes that are meaningful and important to neurodivergent folk that I might helpfully use in the context of offering assessments, support and therapy?

Vaccines save lives. Keep repeating the message. It’s the truth.
Vaccines against COVID-19 saved over 20 million lives in the first year alone, according to a study in Lancet Infectious Diseases. Anti vaxxers conveniently ignore such stats.
