Another well-loved comic I've read many MANY times. Copyright date says 2005 so I would've been 9 when this was printed? Probably about when I first got it. Maybe a year or two later.

It's been a rumor for years that she was supposed to be in the book but was pulled late in development, but Mike Zeck confirmed he just didn't know who exactly wasn't going to be in the book, yet.

Played a bit more x-men legends after work, unlocked Rogue Ororo and Bobby. Rogue's absorb ability is... tragically underwhelming. It's a cool gimmick against bosses, because true to the comic it lets you copy their abilities. But against mooks it doesn't do much.

I think, if I were to make one change to the Secret Wars rosters, I'd want to add Mystique to the villains. And maybe knock lizard, if I have to keep the numbers the same.

Something I glanced over in this issue, I really liked the scene between Sam and Rahne. Just taking the opportunity to explore Rahne's religious trauma and bouncing off Sam to go "no, that upbringing is not normal and it shouldn't be treated as such."

Team America found the world's only fan of them, you'd think they'd be nicer.
Sunspot is a huge fan of Team America (is motocross big in Brazil? I mean, it could be, but I somehow doubt it.

For all the effort Claremont put into promoting diversity in his books, the new mutants ended up rather aryan, didn't they?
Feel like that could've been mitigated if Amara was actually Incan descent, rather than that just being a disguise.

One of the trivia questions in X-Men Legends stated Colossus was immune to Rogue's touch. And... sorry, maybe that's one of those things that's been inconsistent over the years, but under (from what I can tell) most writers, that's incorrect.

I think the affection Illyana has for Kitty is really endearing, especially as they're hamming in how isolated she is from her peers. Everyone distrusts her because of how sinister her powers are but not Kitty.

I'd be really interested to know how the conversation between Ororo and Kitty would be written if she was able to actually talk about falling for Yukio, it really feels like a puzzle with some of the pieces missing.
