It's astounding how much CO₂ we put into the atmosphere each year by burning fossil fuels.

For comparison, we all agree that plastic pollution is bad, but the mass of ALL THE PLASTIC humanity has ever produced is only 25% of the CO₂ we emitted into the atmosphere in 2025.
1) Fossil fuel
Still no peak. Emissions are projected to increase by 1.1% in 2025, reaching 38.1 GtCO2. An all time high.

Yeah. Sigh.
One of our country's greatest war criminals just died, the president is arguing with himself about whether or not to let 40 million people starve, and there is an actual courtroom drama about a five dollar footlong.

How are any of us supposed to maintain emotional regulation.

Another fun Jim Henson & Frank Oz pairing of Ernie & Cookie Monster from SESAME STREET’s 2nd season. The comedy feels very much in the Muppet house-style, finely honed over hundreds of TV appearances/ads. I also very much sympathize with the message - From both perspectives.

Who would have thought that 25 times as many people would be getting their daily news updates from a Boston College history professor (Heather Cox Richardson, who has 2.5 million subscribers) than from the Washington Post.
Lmao WaPo has fewer than 100K circulation now. It turns out “alienate your liberal subscriber base” is not a good strategy when the Republicans also hate you. www.forbes.com/sites/andyme...
