Scientist, veteran, human, and probably some other stuff, both good and bad. It's all a matter of perspective. I thought my grandfather already beat the Nazis.
Perhaps not being paid would provide some incentive to shorten, or ideally, prevent shutdowns. Since most are independently wealthy, I have doubts, but it's a start. c.org/STK7ftxghG

The point is that they continue to get paid during the shutdown and should be a work out of deference to the workers not being paid. It's time they earn their paycheck.

I love reading James Fell and this is great reminder that even when everything seems to be going sideways, we shouldn't stop trying. It sucks that we're in this situation, but we must persevere.

Excellent description of today’s MAGA-Republican Party.

They’re not capable of empathy or compassion. It’s all about the cruelty with them.

They give themselves tax breaks while simultaneously cutting key benefits for the American people.

It’s shameful and it needs to end.

Fun fact, Mark Hertling was my Brigade Commander when I was 2ID in Ft. Lewis. He was a great leader then and he has a ton of real world experience. When he talks about things like this, people should absolutely listen.
Thanks for posting, @templeofhate.com
Spot on by @markhertling.bsky.social about "the impacts and success USAID has had around the world, and the repercussions of withdrawing that much needed aid" and "where Ukraine will stand as the war continues and America’s support is pulled back."

Taxpayers and charities helped develop Zolgensma. Then it debuted at a record price, ushering in a new class of wildly expensive drugs. Its story upends the widely held conception that high prices ref...
