Finally, we hear actual legal terms. Thank you @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu

As someone who studied EU Policy, I appreciate this.

My question is though - how stable is any ceasefire if Russia is entitled to keep what they occupied even if the change to actual, legal UA borders isn’t recognized?

The International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children 🚸 🇺🇦

As a Canadian, I am most proud that our government is part of the three country coalition to bring home the tens of thousands of Ukrainian children that Russia stole from their families.

In my article, I quoted something from Stuart Hall's "Culture, Community, Nation," an essay first published in a 1993 issue of Cultural Studies. He writes:

"It should not be necessary to look, walk, feel, think, speak exactly like a paid-up member of the buttoned-up, stiff-upper-lipped, ...

This reminds me of Cardinal John Henry Newman's book Definition of a Gentleman. I often cite Newman's book because it's so instructive. The term gentleman is so overwrought and frequently abused, but to the degree it means anything at all, I think Newman captures it here:

As we accelerate into an all-electric, all-digital age, the ultimate representation of productive capacity becomes the kilowatt-hour (kWh).

Good to hear PM Carney say positive things on #climate, but "meeting Paris targets" really doesn't mean anything.

What we need is a specific commitment for Canada to clarify it's 2030/35 targets, and go (way) further to meet our fair share toward those Paris targets.

#cdnpoli
A major win for the planet, and for the Greens. Elizabeth May just secured a historic on-the-record promise from PM Mark Carney: Canada will meet our Paris climate targets and our Kunming–Montreal biodiversity goals. We’re not here for talk, we’re here for results.

Looking for video from today's Question Period, where Carney answers May's question on climate, causing her to flip her budget vote later today. I want to hear what he actually said. To hold him accountable. Any suggestions?
