A virtue of forum culture is the longevity of some forums allowing drama to develop that wouldn't otherwise be possible. I once saw a man in his 30s get banned from a forum because he mentioned an upcoming birthday, and one of the mods realised he lied about being over 13 when he registered in 2003.
