As some Republicans cross sides to vote with Democrats to release the Epstein Files, and some Democrats potentially head over to vote with Republicans to block the release, we’ll see that the two major parties in America are actually the Non-Pedophile Party and the Pedophile Party… Insane.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has stated that the US air strikes on “alleged” drug smuggling boats will be treated under international law as crimes against humanity.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

Sexual assault survivors are seeing politicians and TV personalities fall over themselves trying to obfuscate the horror of what Epstein did. Turn cartwheels to protect his powerful cronies.

Imagine the message that sends to them.

Now imagine why sexual assault survivors don’t come forward.

I want to complain about something low stakes to avoid stressing out about something more high stakes but looking around it seems the whole universe is probably being sucked into some kind of black hole, which will, at the very least, solve my stupid problems

Maybe someone should tell Megyn R. Kelly 15 is not “barely legal”, it’s actually quite illegal?

One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.

I got a conversation about the Disqualification clause of the constitution going on Reddit. Imagine if a grassroots movement started to apply this to everyone implicated in that insurrection. The way it's worded we could do this all over the country and clean house.

"Please trust us now when we say that what is happening in the Chicago area is wrong *** It is not law enforcement; it is terror."
Letter from Chicago broadcast veterans: Federal immigration agents have traumatized us and eroded our rights
The fact that some federal immigration forces may be leaving soon is cold comfort given the damage they’ve done.

"taking jobs from Americans" really gives away the game. This guy just hates immigrants and thinks they don't belong here, and can be treated as sub-humans.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

You would think that the 8 GOP Senators who are SO OUTRAGED that Jack Smith subpoenaed their phone records that they want $1 million compensation would bring him in to testify IN A PUBLIC HEARING to explain why he did this. But no, they don’t want to do that. I wonder why?

I just thought I would share a tip which I'm sure someone else shared with me, but it was ages ago so I can't remember who. When making music with any instrument you plug in to an amp or speaker system. Before you turn it on turn down the volume on everything. This will save your ears and equipment.

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

With current pledges, the world's on track for 2.6°C of warming in 2100 compared to preindustrial levels.

10 years ago, before the Paris agreement, it was 3.6°C

20+ years ago, we thought it would be 4-5°C

So 2.6°C is better, but the problem is that climate impacts are way worse than we predicted.
World still on track for catastrophic 2.6C temperature rise, report finds
Fossil fuel emissions have hit a record high while many nations have done too little to avert deadly global heating

My 16-year-old son had a tummy-ache last night. A few hours in the ER later, we learn it’s appendicitis. He’s going in for surgery sometime today. Hopefully we caught it quickly enough to minimize complications.

Raskin: "The DOJ hasn't released any of these emails that mention Trump's name & identify his role in all these activities. Those came from the Epstein estate. So this is a demonstration the govt is deliberately withholding the info everybody is actually looking for & could be damaging to Trump"

We went a couple of weeks where the government was de facto, but totally unconstitutionally, run by a triumvirate of the VP, speaker of the House, and chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and we all just shrugged and muddled through and then pretended it hadn't happened.
one reason I think soft coup is underrated as an outcome is that we probably already had one in January 2021 and the collective popular reaction was that we didn’t notice
