I agree. This quote from Adam Walton seems to sum it up best for me, "Mild autism doesn't mean I experience autism mildly. It means YOU experience my autism mildly."

Many of us have significant support needs in areas where no support is available or it's unreliable at best - like emotional regulation, that we are unable to do much stuff without assistance. If we don't have assistance, we don't do it and then if we don't do it, no one sees we have a support need.

Exactly! They’re perfectly capable of identifying special interests when it’s to police & punish #Autistics! They know the difference. We all know the difference, if we’re being honest.

Like, it’s pretty rich to hear “everyone has interests like that” when “restricted interests” are STILL a diagnostic criterion for autism in the DSM! #Autistic people are othered, mocked, pathologized & put in intensive therapy for this trait that “everyone” has.

I've tried their clothes. I do like them quite a bit. They are generally structurally sound: sadly not flat felled, but they are serged, and stitched separately. Quality fabrics in the pieces I have, and they wash, and alter well.

I was sad to shrink out of a pair of pants I have from them.
