China is absolutely dominant when it comes to renewables. People do not understand the implications of this long term.

Cheap power equals:
- Cheaper manufacturing
- Cheaper transport
- Lower cost of living

With AI + robotics, these advantages go 10x. Imagine robots producing cars with 0 cost solar
#China is forecasted to install 66% of the world’s solar capacity and 69% of wind capacity in 2025.

This would be the third consecutive year that 🇨🇳 added more solar and wind than the rest of the world.

Here’s what I got. Gemini just directed me to the Brittanica webpage

Would be REALLY cool to see a Democrat do anything remotely similar to this. But for now I guess we get strongly written letters as Democracy falls…

But hey, at least we still have our norms? Right @schumer.senate.gov
A member of Taiwan's parliament stole a bill and ran off with it to prevent it from being passed

It’s amazing to see the energy and excitement for the #NoKings parade yesterday!

But the real question is, what’s next? Will Congress do anything? Will the courts stand up to Trump? Or will it be more of the same
June 15, 2025 at 10:08 AM
This is so deplorable
"Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” has $185bn for ICE, which is more than the annual military budgets of the UK and France combined. Wherever ICE raids trigger protests, Trump can send in the troops." My column.

Trump is coming for the ‘enemy within’
Sending the National Guard into LA is the administration’s clearest step yet towards authoritarianism

What are Republicans even trying to do now?

Trump coin, Tax cuts, Qatari jet, etc. all make sense -> they’re just getting richer.

Kidnapping kids from schools, banning vaccines, etc. -> what’s the point? How does this benefit them?

Are they just trying to be the worst humans on the planet?

Finally some good news! The Trump-Musk relationship was bound to break up eventually, you can’t put 2 egomaniacs together and expect it to last forever.

Candidly, I’m surprised it lasted this long
Let's fucking gooooooooo

The world's clean-energy investments are now twice as large as those in fossil fuels, the latest IEA data shows

Peak fossil car is behind us, cleaner air and quieter streets ahead!

(Hopefully peak car is behind us too but I’m not so sure)
The end of the internal combustion engine?

Global sales of petrol and diesel cars peaked in 2017/18 and are now falling.

The shift to electric and low-carbon transport is well underway—and EV sales are rising fast.

Incredible that 77M people voted for Trump. Only about 1% of households make this much. At least 76M people voted against their self interest because they hate others (immigrants, women, LGBTQ, China, etc.) more than like themselves. Truly astounding folks

I’m in Barcelona and wow this place is incredible. The bike lanes, buses, super villes just incredible design. Everything is convenient and safe with no almost no cars. They too inefficient.

@volts.wtf is 100% right. If we brought this to SF I’d cry tears of joy.

I can't top this one.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

The amount of damage Trump is doing to the U.S. really cannot be understated.

Destruction comes fast…

This x1000.

Impossible to make a 20 year, $M+ investment when I have 0 clue what anything will ever cost.
okay now that you all have gotten a taste of America's rational and predictable new trade policy, everyone who wants to build your new factories here just form an orderly line

Markets jumped 10%+ today because tariffs were paused. This makes 0 sense. Trump’s tariff game = enormous volatility.

When running a business, reducing risk is a top priority. How do I know where to invest if my costs might jump 30% tomorrow? Fundamentals are severely damaged by the Trump admin

What would have happened to Tesla if they hadn’t gotten $465M loan from the LPO in 2010?

You know, the place that just let all of their employees go because they “don’t serve the public interest”
