I might be wrong, why I'm genuinely open to discussion, but a real prosecution of Jonathan Ross for murder in 3 years seems preferable to having a pantomime investigation now that finds him not guilty which would 1) let him go free and 2) further consolidate authoritarian state power.

Will scroll for whispers of hope
This is Minneapolis:

Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

Whether it’s Donald Trump demanding Greenland from Denmark or Barack Obama asking for Dijon mustard from a hotdog vendor, both presidents made some highly unusual requests.

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

Would you read this paper:

Because I'm writing it.

If you have a single footnote that is three lines shy of taking up two entire pages, it's not a footnote.

But honestly, you do you. Live your life out loud.

Just googled the Trump hand IV theory, and learned that during a state dinner in 1992, George HW Bush keeled over in his seat and vomited into the lap of the Japanese prime minister. Yes there is video. Yes I'm including it here.

seems like a good day to tap the "support independent, worker run, local media" sign
“The New York Times collaborated with a white nationalist eugenicist hacker and agreed to keep his identity a secret to publish a Zohran Mamdani hit piece” is a way bigger story than “18 year old Zohran Mamdani ticked ‘African American’ on his Columbia application because he was a citizen of Uganda”

It's too on the nose that the NYT piece about the restaurant term "86" only interviewed a lexicologist and then almost completely mischaracterized its use despite one coauthor being their former food critic of 12 years.

You couldn't call a single GM? Or literally anyone in the industry?

Style note for anyone reporting on Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, the word is "illegally" deported. It was not an oopsie. It was not a mistake.

Do not cede that rhetorical territory.

The NYT is a rag, but the bright spot of their coverage of Trump's second go-round is the photo editors publishing pictures like this one. (Instead of finding the most flattering picture imaginable and calling it unbiased reporting).
