What’s one way we can rein in ICE?

We can start by boycotting ICE’s corporate collaborators that are profiting from the agency’s cruelty.

Watch.

Nigel Farage lashes out at a FT journalist and refuses to answer the question.

Is this how Reform UK would ignore media questions if they got into government?

Very moving.

Are Americans fighting back at last against #ICE, #MAGA and #Trump?

This tragic, beautiful, peaceful demonstration is certainly one way...

Ah how I long for the pancake days of old. Not pancakes flavoured with cardamom, hot honey or miso.
But good old fashioned ones made of eggs, coal & dust.
And do you remember when a young Margaret Thatcher & a group of young Tories chased a French crêpe out of Kent?
Happy days!🇬🇧

DNA testing for potential to develop health conditions is sinister.
It's an attempt to quantify the risk for individual patients. But health advice is the same whatever your risk so knowing risk is no use to doctors or patients.
One industry that relies on understanding risk though is insurance.

outsourcing is superficially attractive to executives and chairs because it would *appear* to also transfer accountability, introducing another layer between operator-management-governance. but when things go catastrophically wrong the outsourced operation is no protection against accountability

We need more than platitudes from Milburn & Labour about goodness of work. Work should be a vocation/meaningful & not enslavement in bullshit or exploitative jobs so a few can make vast profit. We need a UBI combined with job guarantee to tackle tasks in society private sector won't touch.

She told Evan Davis they were used to short notice elections and would cope, as they always do.

Just a thought - doesn't the term "jobs MARKET" point to the baked-in dehumanising, soul-destroying nature of most types of work , and being a 'wage-slave' (sorry for Marxist term !)

If plastic is labelled as recycled, it must genuinely be recycled and produced under proper environmental and labour standards.

The Government should assess the EU proposals carefully — and match them to protect people and planet.
