Lovely. Love living in the high desert as it gets rapidly more arid and the Salt Lake dries up, exposing us to dangerous heavy metals in the dust from the lakebed

A NYC-based cable TV show once taped some shows at an ATX venue where I worked. I was outside having a smoke with one of the Local 1 crew and he said, "Man, I don't know how you handle the heat." I laughed - it was October - and called him a Yankee, to which he replied, "No, man, I'm a Mets guy."

The masked burglar broke into the closed Virginia liquor store early on Saturday and hit the bottom shelf. The bandit was something of a nocturnal menace: bottles were smashed and alcohol pooled on the floor.

The suspect acted like an animal because, in fact, he's a raccoon.

The amount of reverence I'm seeing from non-theater people for the plays of Tom Stoppard is interesting. It reminds me of the difference between how theater people & laypeople relate to Shakespeare's plays.
