Sounds to me like the worst possible outcome from the Supreme Court ruling is about to transpire. Leaving aside the indignity for trans people, how is your local community centre, swimming baths, pub or restaurant going to police this to prevent bad faith actors suing them.

I will never not understand how a minority of people have decided that wind farms - significantly prettier than pylons, coal power plants, nuclear power plants, and almost certainly fusion power plants - are ugly. In terms of energy generation, what else are you hoping for that is better?
On holiday, I notice that there are wind turbines on the shore of Lake Garda, which very much makes me think that residents with a view of some incredibly mid Cotswold or other can put a sock in it.

It's a mark of what's gone wrong with British politics that it's regarded as some kind of career-ending humiliation when a govt has to make concessions to Members of Parliament.

We'd be much better governed if MPs found their backbones more often, & govts routinely had to respond to their concerns.

⛽️ Petrol is the cheapest it’s been in real terms since 2001, but no govt has gotten credit for freezing fuel duties. 1. It’s an implicit carbon subsidy - so much for Net Zero - and 2. it penalises city-dwellers.

What I cannot work out is *why* Labour thinks saying "It was right to cut Winter Fuel Allowance last year and it's right to reinstate it this year because circumstances changed so much"

Is better than "We listened to you, we got it wrong, we've fixed it, and we're sorry".
