In progress: "Untitled Christmas gift for my girlfriend and mother-in-law", oil on canvas, 24x36". Playing around with placement of stuff today, populating the bench with foxglove, a fern frond & gardening gloves.
A rustic floral still life painting in progress. It's a dark room, run down, perhaps a potting shed. On a bench is a Crown brand glass jar with a cut flower arrangement, orange rose, pink fancy tulip, a white rose, other flowers suggested in broad strokes. To the right of the flowers are 3 cut pink roses and a lit candle. Some foxglove and a fern frond are getting underpainted on the bench. The back wall has peeling burgundy damask wallpaper over crumbling plaster. The light of a window is cast on the back wall.
