Ah...the ones in Boston are anonymous, you just load them up periodically.

The rain will do that.

This weekend was notably prettier in the woods. Here's hoping the storm hasn't stripped all the leaves...

True, but it's easier to make your own electronic cards...

If it's less romantic, it's because you're using the hot water balloon wrong.

Not much of a god if that's the case...

Mike Huckabee is a bass player? That explains a lot...

After the apocalypse, when kids take over the earth, they’ll remember who had the full sized bars…

Currently listening to the audiobook of "It Was Her House First" and my god, does that hit _hard_. Recommended. 🐴👍

If you’re a CEO with lots of stock options, it’s huge upside, limited downside.

Well, the direct "AI" stuff has been a bubble for a long time. This is the "AI" bubble sucking in otherwise sound companies looking to make a quick buck. What it means is that the impact radius when this blows up could be huge.

Where things get weird for Broadcom is when they start doing capital expenditures to ramp up production for chips that don't sell. And then there's the knock on effect of other companies trying to keep up with the "fake" profits here. It easily starts warping the markets. 2/2
eschneider.bsky.social
I don't think that's _quite_ true. Broadcom has plenty of (financial engineering) reasons to do a deal like this even if they never expect to get paid by OpenAI, or deliver chips to them. It looks good on paper, and that has stock market impact and they can make money on that. 1/2

You still need to do the "build the robots to sell for money" at some point and OpenAI isn't quite there yet.

Even w/o lights, I'm sure we showed up as UTO (Unidentified Trotting Objects) based on the number of cars who'd high-beam us on the road.

It's almost city here, so I expect more people have seen aliens than horses on the road.
