Fabulous 🤩 😍 🤩
IC1848 - The Soul Nebula. I am officially blown away by the detail in my first real SHO image. This is just 30 mins on each filter. I can't wait to see the results when I get several hours on it.
ASI2600 MM, Esprit 100ED, Altair 3nm Ha, Sii and Oiii filters.

Really clear night. Got much better images of Orion nebula and Andromeda galaxy, M31, than posted last time. And took longer exposures. Enjoy

After much consideration, I've decided that the problem with Liz Truss's new YouTube venture is Liz Truss.

She's got the charisma of a bin liner and speaks like a droning spin dryer on a quiet cycle.

My mind is boggled again, a few more dots joined for the whole Brexit scam; when will this story - including the Cambridge Analytica element - ever get out into the mainstream, and when will anyone of the many charlatans & carpetbaggers ever be held to account?
Must read thread - follow Byline Times for the stories we need to know

Horseshoe crabs & Delaware bay’s most abundant shorebirds — red knots, ruddy turnstones, sanderlings and semipalmated sandpipers & the Pharmaceutical & Biotech industry - who knew?

Mind-boggled again 😲
For decades, the biomedical industry has relied on a compound in horseshoe crab blood to protect medical equipment from contamination, saving untold human lives.

But conservationists say modern medicine’s dependence on this bloodletting is upending a globe-spanning ecosystem.
These crabs probably saved your life. Can we save theirs?
The medical world relies on horseshoe crab blood in the production of vaccines and equipment. A synthetic is available, but companies have been slow to adopt it.

Trump did tariffs and austerity at the same time. It’s a perfect recipe to destroy the US economy and manufacturing. Turns out when you tell the world to fuck off, they tell you it right back.

Reminder that words matter. You can’t “deport” a US citizen. You might be kidnapping, disappearing, exiling, expelling, illegally removing, etc., but you’re not “deporting” a US citizen.
