I've been working on retail for a decade now, and every year during holidays I notice how workers in this field (supermarkets, clothing stores, toy stores, restaurants, etc) are part of the backbone of our capitalist society, and yet we're all deeply devalued, underpaid and disposable.

Our first big Christmas update is with an amazing recovery of the final build of Resident Evil on Gameboy Color. Hotgen's impressive conversion that got canned. This is much closer to completion, and seems completable too. Lots to discover!

Ainda mais: não adianta receber aviso da defesa civil de ventos de 90km/h se você ainda tem que sair pra trabalhar. Quando morei em lugares frios, se a temperatura caía pra -40ºC, era aula cancelada e comércio fechado. Simples. Segurança não é só conhecimento do fato, é protocolo de ação.
Percebe-se que quando assunto é mudança climática e aviões comerciais, o papo é sempre sobre combustíveis sustentáveis ou compensação de carbono. Mitigação, ok. Mas e adaptação? Zero preparo nas empresas, aeroportos e público, especialmente o que não tá acostumado a cancelamento por nevasca, por ex.

Kids have always been prepared to devour every comic in front of them it’s just that we’ve been worse about actually putting them in front of them. Adults either are ashamed of their hold on young readers or so unashamed, they want the industry to focus on them as they become more insufferable men.
