The next SNES prototype in my release pile is an unreleased game. It might take a while to do the article since it is the end of the teaching term in Japan in two weeks.

Today we're adding an early Game Boy Advance proto called F1-X. However, the files need work as they were built for a AGB dev board. We may have found graphical mock ups too, suggesting (if the same game) a Game Boy Color version may exist too:

In 1990, Damocles (Mercenary 2) on the Amiga featured a full galaxy with 9 planets & 19 moons for players to explore. In 1995, Psygnosis was going to release an enhanced PC port which never happened. The PC port looked almost complete. Another in the weird choices made by Psygnosis in the 90s

Robocop 3 was a late 8-bit title seeing release for C64 and ZX Spectrum. A planned #Amstrad GX4000 and Plus series version of the game would never surface though. Rumours suggest it was close to completion, so why was it never released? More soon we hope!

Thanks to Christopher Drum, we take a look at the long lost Pinball Construction Set on the #Amiga, and a very early Electronic Arts title. Only a static screenshot exists - so how far did it get, and can anything of it be saved?

Today we're adding a prototype of Pocket Panic for #GameBoyColor, featuring very different sprites and Graphic State titling. Originally released as part of the Bung Coding Competition 1999 - this may have been start of a tidied up budget release perhaps?

We have another prototype for you today, with the recovery of a late Kick Off #SNES prototype. Doesn't seem to be any major or noticeable differences, and could just contain bugs that haven't been fixed. Let us know if you spot anything!

Released on platforms including C64, The Amazing Spiderman was a neat flip-screen platformer by Empire. Sadly #AmstradCPC + #ZXSpectrum versions never saw the light of day, even though the CPC version (albeit a preview!) was reviewed. Can they be found?

Sudeki was pitched for just about every platform under the sun, between GBA, mobile phones, and even the Gizmondo. One of my favorite what-ifs, though, is the PSP, which would have been perfect for it. Documents were created, mock-up screenshots, and even asset tests. But no go.

Updates added thanks to @indieretronews.bsky.social : the earlier press linking the game to Westwood appears to have been in error. Legacy of the Necromancer was likely developed either internally at Virgin or by another external team.
Not to be confused with the released Trilogy - this Legacy of the Necromancer game was a different, dungeon-crawler RPG from Virgin & Westwood for Amiga/MS-DOS back in 1992. Sadly it was never to see the light of day:
