This weekend is the Montreal tattoo convention. I decided to drop by, jetlag be damned, mainly motivated that my old artist would be there. It'd be cool to say hi!

I'm savoring my last night in Bosnia and Europe in the most important way: drinking the local brew, people watching, and enjoying the moment. I love this place and the friends that have made my travels meaningful, fun and memorable. I'm getting mushy tipsy so all I'll say is that I love you all.

Day 4 in Sarajevo. I'm having coffee outdoors before heading out of town for an excursion to a remote village. Café culture here is strong and I love it. Bosnia is fascinating and wonderful and I need to learn to make cevapi at home before the withdrawal sets in.

I love my job, but it feels wonderful to shut off my work laptop, leave it at home, and revel in professional disconnection for a couple weeks of holiday.

Today, I had an encounter that I will be thinking about for a long time.
I'm visiting my old stomping grounds of Calgary, Alberta, to attend a wedding. It was a spectacular day and I went cycling (again) after work. I swung by my old beloved neighborhood, which I still adore.

It's 10h33, the election polls opened an hour ago. There's already a line of ~40 people outside my location which is... something I've not seen before. In the past, there's only been a few people ahead of me at this hour.

I'm only an hour into Expedition 33 and am utterly blown away. The music, the composition, gameplay, dialogue - everything is beautiful and enticing. Playing it in French is really adding to the experience for me, too. My playthrough of FF14 is on pause until further notice...!

I do not have children; I've never wanted them, and do not ever want them. But hot damn, it is mega fun to be that cool fake aunt to my friend's kids. It's a cool chapter to write in the book of friendship with them :D

My friend is in Luxembourg and wrote about her tour of the city. It's a fun read sprinkled with tidbits of "Ursula being Ursula" (did you ever find that scorpion?) :D
Good morning, Luxembourg! Today we get a guided tour of the city (or possibly country.) Our hotel room is very Euro-fusion which means that the bedroom was designed by IKEA and the bathroom by the Spanish Inquisition.
