I'm a Curious Christian. Throughout my life I've been asking questions, and it has taken me down quite the path.
What's the best argument for Jesus historicism? The brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James. This passage in Josephus, which is virtually undisputed, is the best non-Biblical evidence for Jesus.

It's quite possible that the Gospel of Mark was in fact written around 40 A.D. The anchor point here would be the Caligula Crisis, and how it relates to Mark 13.
Dating of the Gospel of Mark - The Curious Christian
Most scholars argue that Mark was the first Gospel to be written. This seems rather obvious as it’s clear that both Matthew and Luke borrowed from Mark. It’s no surprise that a late date for Mark then...

Jesus was a historical person. He existed. Thats not controversial.

The first Christian depictions of Jesus on the cross didnt happen for nearly 1000 years after he died. I find that fascinating

Christ Before Jesus is a book that just makes things up. At least that's what I explore in this article. Honestly, this is one of the worse books on Jesus mythicism that I've read.

Christ Before Jesus: Are they Making it Up
If you’re making things up in your study, it’s probably not wise to bring that to attention. Yet, that’s exactly what Matthew Britt and…

Christ Before Jesus is possibly the worse book on Jesus mythicism, and a large part of that is just a massively failed methodology that shows a complete ignorance when it comes to stylometry. I dive into that in this article.
A Terrible Methodology: Christ Before Jesus
What makes a good methodology? Well, the first step is to have a clear methodology. And it probably pays to understand the topic. For…

Quite possibly the worse new book on Jesus mythicism is "Christ Before Jesus." It attempts to use stylometry to make their case, yet the authors don't show a real understanding of it. This is the first part of a series I'm writing on the book. #jesusmythicism #christbeforejesus
Failing Stylometry, Christ Before Jesus
Can stylometry prove Jesus, or even Paul, didn’t exist? Short answer, no. Yet, that is a main focus in the book, Christ Before Jesus, a…

I'm looking at Steven Novella's view on Jesus, which borders on the Christ-Myth theory. While he's a great scientist, he's simply out of his depth when it comes to history.

Steven Novella is a great skeptic, but terrible historian. In this series, I dive into his position on the Historical Jesus, and show the where he falls short, while also discussing the idea Jesus didn't exist.

Great video, but there is one big point missed During the time of Paul the idea of loving same-sex relationships was known. In Plato's Symposium, we have a story talking about soul mates, which included same-sex couples In some Roman literature, we also see such ideas, even though they were mocked.

Pretty sure Lee Strobel's Case for Chirst is the worse sort of apologetics, as it's disguised as skepticism. This sort of nonsense does more harm than good. #exevangelcial #exatheist #apologetics

I'm currently reading The Case for Christ, and Strobel makes a fundamental mistake right off that bat. He thinks he can examine the story of Jesus through the lens of a court room. History is not a court room, and can't be treated as such. He starts with a faulty premise.

As #autism continues to be increasingly stigmatized in the coming months and years, a lot of people will be pressured to mask their autistic traits.

If it is a safety issue, do what you need to do. But. If it isn't, know that being proudly autistic in public is an act of resistance and survival.
