I'm a Curious Christian. Throughout my life I've been asking questions, and it has taken me down quite the path.

Looking at some supposed Lost Gospels, such as the Nag Hammadi Library and a few others, such as the infancy Gospels.

I'm starting a Bible Study, but figured it may be best to start off with looking at translations.

The Jesus-myth idea is often ignored by scholars. That has been a terrible tactic, because it has left the view unchecked. Which is why I'm working on a series of works that tackles this view. Carrier's work is one of the first I'm going through.

This book is a great example of how you don't respond to criticism. I get it, Ehrman did a poor job in his own book, but puffing out one's chest, while also whining, doesn't serve any real purpose. I'm working on a rebuttal to most of these articles, but just wow. #mythicism #exatheist #jesusmyth

Most people get the tower of Babel story wrong. Largely because the tower isn't the focal point. The tower really doesn't even matter, and is only mentioned once, in passing.

The Dark Ages are a historical myth, one we need to retire. The idea is based on nostalgia, based on this idea that the Greco-Roman culture was a golden age we needed to get back to, while ignoring everything good about their own time. Kind of like the whole MAGA movement.

The reason we call him Jesus, and use a J, is because of a process called transliteration. It's why we can read the name at all, and we don't stick to writing it out in Aramaic, a language few understand. The J is just fine.
