Cheerful, apathetic, cheerfully apathetic. Mostly. (He/him)
Damnedest thing. I got blasted yesterday and watched a bad old horror movie I remembered seeing as a kid--THE CHILDREN. It's not very good, but it somehow hit the spot in my brain that contained rhymes.

Today, on the blog: like "Who Goes There?" or "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" the original story "Farewell to the Master" is far less known than its adaptations. But is this comic more faithful than the movies...?

As long as you make sure the Ch'od heads find homes: he's one of my favorite Build-a-Figures in recent memory. You can give me all the Cr'reees, though!

I wasn’t sure I was going to open the new Silver Surfer figure, but the package didn’t show up in great shape, so decision made.

Watching TERROR-CREATURES FROM THE GRAVE right now! (Barbara Steele!)

The only thing that would make Tubi better is shittier ads. Like local pizza places and used record joints.
Tubi is such a crazy streaming service. It’s like if the Criterion Closet was in a gas station

Dude was I.M.Weasel! A classic.

Today, on the blog: @teganoneil5000.bsky.social mentioned Jademan a while ago, and of course I have a random issue for example-type purposes.

I still don't think "Lord Buddha, please let his neck be broken" is a traditional prayer, though.

There's a penny shortage, Scrooge, what the hell
December 8, 2025 at 2:52 AM
So I had to reorganize some stuff in my house, since one of my kids will be staying with me for a bit; and I thought maybe now would be a good time to build my own not-Criterion Closet! Clear the boxes and stuff out, move all the DVD's in.

Well...

Going firebird, the Phoenix could one-hit Godzilla, Goku, Superman…Sure, the explosion would destroy that side of the planet, but my point stands.
It’s Saturday! Post a cartoon tv series you love

Finally did something I hadn’t taken time for in too long: got out the waffle iron for proper protein waffles! No square pancakes this week!

Netflix has the opportunity to do the funniest--and rightest--thing ever: bench HARRY POTTER. Cancel all projects. Stop licensing it. Let it die.

BREAKING: Netflix to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, home to Harry Potter and Superman franchises, for $72 billion.

If you see this, post a Spider-Man.

I should ask here, if anybody else remembers when TBS used to run LOST IN SPACE Sunday mornings, or if anyone else who did has died off already...
Tune into to today’s blog post from @ctopley.bsky.social where he talks about the time Andy Griffith & the town of Mayberry were cockblocked by the Incredible Hulk from going to Toadworld & fucking Toad Men & Women:

Pretty sure Cronenburg’s THE BROOD is, too.
Better Off Dead is a Christmas movie.

I've got the MST3K Turkey Day marathon on, but every time the ad comes on for the Yellowstone marathon it sounds like a gritty reboot of HOME ALONE. I haven't been playing a lot of attention but I'm pretty sure Costner says "this is my house, I have to defend it."

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER is on, and one of the plot points is that the billionaire tycoon is secretly abducted and his company and wealth misused for eee-vil.

Of course, that could never happen in real life...well, it totally could, but who'd know? The change would be negligible.

God, I wanted to see that version. Failsons Kylo Ren and General Hux running their little Empire into the ground, blaming everyone but themselves.

I'll go a step further: I rrrrrreally wanted to see Kylo go out badly, crying, streaming snot from his nose...
Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode IX. With the hope it will destroy the Internet as all the rage bait media crashes the AI data centers struggling to keep up.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Search that same news site for "Scott Pressler." He's organized anti-Muslim "rallies" and generally sucks.

Washington state has a pretty robust initiative process; that I can't recall ever being used for anything I'd call good? It's tough for me to keep from cursing out signature collectors...
