I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Spending lots of time in Europe and engaging with the govts & armies of all 49 countries, ALL of them use the titles “Minister of Defense,” “Minister for Defense,” or “Minister of National Defense.”

Netherland had the last “Minister of War” in 1948.

So there’s that.

Here's a ray of sunshine in a very dark world

Germany has already exceeded its goal of shutting down 8 GW of coal plants - 3 years earlier than expected

Amazing what a little sun and wind can do 😎

Germany Already Met Its 2028 Goal for Reducing Coal-Fired Power
Germany has already met its 2028 goal for reducing coal-fired power generation, so won’t need to order the shutdown of any plants for a second year running, the country’s regulator said.

The mental health benefits of not knowing any history right now must be massive. Moving through your day with total equanimity. What happens next? Who knows? Maybe something good

It’s kinda crazy that we now live in a world where it’s assumed that computers will write better stories than you, paint better than you and create software better than you. And your competitive advantage is now that you can fix toilets and flip burgers while computers can’t.

For now.

A.I. is popular because it gives you the experience of being a boss: you get to give annoyingly specific instructions about how to do something you don't actually know how to do yourself, and then claim credit for the end result.

The whole post WWII world order was based on territorial integrity, that aggression should not be rewarded with territorial gains. That idea was beautiful and worked perfectly, until tested. Then it totally fell apart.

AI may deskill labor in the coming years, just as tech has done for many trades. But even if the human hand may not always produce a better product, it may be special for the sake of craft.

Either way, when shopping for a suit, now you know to flip over the lapel to see if there are dimples.

You know what would be cool? A Mass Effect RTS.

You could have different campaigns covering the Rachni Wars, Krogan Rebellions, First Contact War, Morning War, Reaper War etc.

Hell, you could even expand to Andromeda and cover the Kett Incursions.

You wanna play that? I wanna play that.
