“y’all like a spiritual trap house huh?”

though our farms be sold, we still growin.
reorient, repair, reconcile, redeem, regrow.
reimagine, recreate, recover, lo the metonia.
Praxis.
The Atlantic is refusing to publish my article entitled "I Tried All the Scams in the Dead Prez Song 'Hell Yeah' and Here’s What Went Down." Huge missed opportunity to amplify a growing group of marginalized voices (scammers) in the public square.

I say with phlegm and whatever compassion there is in me: “fatherless”

So many of these dudes that grew up with emotionally unavailable progenitors that are desperately trying to embody and mandate a masculinity they do not themselves know or hold. They simultaneously hate and adore their fathers.
Bluesky community, I need your help. For the last few months, I've been trying to find a word to describe the "men" in this administration that does them justice. Wimp is too weak, pussy/bitch is sexist (and women are powerful), and cowards is an understatement. Any suggestions?

Bliss.
My new record Moving Through Light is out today. It’s a kind of guitar collage music that I feel I’ve been working my way towards for a little while now. My sincere appreciation to everyone who picks this one up, thanks for listening!

“Power has reached its full capacity in the form of the nation-state. It derives its strength mainly from the sexism it spreads and intensifies by the integration of women into the labour force as well as through nationalism and militarism…”

Having grown up surrounded by state and federal employees that bemoaned “hand outs” and the inefficiencies of big government while abusing telework, working fake email/Youtube jobs, and generally just skating, it’s amazing how shocked some are that they are bein considered Waste Fraud and Abuse.

personally I think Kendrick should have looked directly into the camera and changed the lyrics of "Not Like Us" into a political treatise explaining his exact position on both separation of powers and the immortal science of dialectical materialism. missed opportunity tbh

Some of us be so hated that those who fashion and maintain the blades criss crossin the sieve of the House of Mammon do not care that they cut their own kin, kindred—their own damn selves.

Teflon, Boeing, fires, floods, predator lending, misanthropic healthcare cuts us all into tiny bits.
Racism against Black people hurts white people. Not just morally. Not just spiritually as MLK Jr. argued. Physically. Materially. That's it. that's the skeet.

Acceptin more and more each day that the function of [capital “L”] Liberals—and inertial energy of lower case liberals along for the ride—is to pass the most annoying, materially ineffective policy, marketing it as change, while launderin as much money to corporate interests as possible.
Dem's just don't have a defense against the stupidest shit in society being assigned to them. Paper straws? Democrats.
Did democrats do it? No fucking idea. "I just know it's their fault somehow." They're probably right, even I think so.
How do we get off this train man.

And I believed at the time he was universally right, meaning that I was responsible in my body and my soul for the fate reserved for my brother.”

Apropos of nothin, it is always a wonder how many of my Liberal countrymen do not code the post Reconstruction conditions of southern black folk decaying in ghettos, prisons, and police/intelligence state (drones, surveillance camera wiretaps, no knock warrants, civil forfeiture) as authoritarian.

Perhaps it’s only my own brand of naive optimism, but I squint at the contrast between the nigh unlimited imagination King put forth on paper vs [what I perceive to be] the lack of imagination in holding our elected reps to anything more than Better than the Crimson King, Man in Black…
Biden has issued preemptive pardons for many of Trump's supposed enemies. In a year or so, Joe's presidency will gain considerable luster.

Watching people I otherwise respect perennially—or sometimes daily—be let down by the current binary of electoral politics is reminiscent of every perpetually abusive relationship I am witness to.

Move on, put thy faith in Something Better, abeg.

Be perennially surprised by holier things.
The Hegseth confirmation shows that Republican lawmakers have put party over country. They should be ashamed, but I doubt if they are.
