When my nieces (10 and 7) come to visit NYC every summer, we always take them to the natural history museum, and I’m waiting (impatiently) for them to finally be interested in dinosaurs, because I think they are just about the coolest thing ever and always will.
We're all still a bunch of dinosaur kids at heart.

They could make a million seasons of this show and I would be seated for every single one of them. I will never get enough of this.
Over 1 million views (currently over 1.1 million) for the #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge images I've shared at Instagram. Debuts on #AppleTV Nov 26th, a stunning and definitive vision created by #BBCStudios, you're going to love it. Am attending screening events, can't wait.

Hey, SABR hasn't put both its feet into bluesky yet (I know, a lot of its people have) but this is a good time to remind you that the SABR Analytics Conference Research Awards are open for nominations.

When you have a few minutes, please nominate some of your favorite baseball research from 2025.

Shuffleboard Championship was tonight, and it had a Disney theme. We did not win the shuffleboard, but my team had the best costumes. Undefeated in terms of whimsy for sure.

“Internet-poisoned Husband, Sane Wife” is a thing many are living through
my wife is not online enough to understand why I’m losing my entire mind over the new Nuzzi revelations and I love that for her

Beltran and Utley are the only guys who I think should be in without any questions. Would entertain many varied questions about Abreu, Felix, Buehrle, Hamels, Jones, Pedroia, Pettitte, Manny, A-Rod, and maybe K-Rod, but none are obvious “Yes” votes (if I had one)
The 2026 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot as announced moments ago by @baseballhall.org (baseballhall.org/news/2026-bb...). Results will be announced Jan. 20th. Game on!

The Browns drafted Brandon Weeden in the 1st round in 2012.

Sam Darnold playing in his eighth NFL season is 30 days younger than Weeden was when he was drafted.
Shedeur Sanders about to get his name engraved on the Browns Cup ... goosebumps

Just like the Eagles band!
It's good that everyone involved in the Eagles offense is furious with each other. They're all correct.

I am contractually obligated to rank and talk about relief pitching for my job. It's my least favorite part of the job. It's basically reading animal entrails to predict the future.

Impossible to read this and think anything but "The Pirates should be doing everything they can to trade minor-league pitchers for major-league hitters"

Hall of Fame voting is funny.

Last year, 48 voters were "Yes" on Andy Pettitte and "No" on Manny Ramirez.

Of those 48, 5 were also "Yes" on Alex Rodriguez.

There were 46 "Pettite: Yes, A-Rod: No" voters. Three of those were "Manny Ramirez: Yes."

Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds!

I could maybe see the case for voting for Ryan Braun, but the PED issue -- and more specifically, his rection to it -- makes him a big no for me.

Braun smeared an innocent man as anti-semitic as a ploy to avoid suspension for taking PEDs. Shameful stuff! web.archive.org/web/20130819...

I still believe in Reese Olson, but man it'd be nice if his fastballs weren't absolutely terrible and allowed him to actually get to two-strike counts more regularly (also if he could stay healthy that would also be nice)

BY THE WAY: If you have a baseball podcast and are looking for guests to come on your podcast, this is the perfect time of year to ask me to be a guest, because I will probably say yes! I have much more free time right now than I do during the season, so let's chat!

Really amazed that there is a "is Jalen Hurts actually good???" discourse happening when he has made two Super Bowls and won one!
yah it's pretty easy. If you call plays well, you either win a Super Bowl or get within a FG of winning, and you get hired as a head coach
Try calling plays with Jalen Hurts at qb then tell me how you feel.

If we aren’t gashing people in the run game and able to just throw one on one routes he is below average.

Look, obviously Nintendo was always going to make this movie eventually.

But here's the thing: Can you make a movie with a silent protagonist that works? Because I'm walking out of that theater if Link says even one word beyond various guttural utterances of surprise or dismay.

If you are the kind of person who cares about journalism, you should be alarmed at how quickly the elite world of journalism is lining up to rehabilitate this person who flagrantly failed the most based standards of ethics in the field.
Vanity Fair's West Coast Editor Olivia Nuzzi was a star political correspondent until scandal led her into exile—and to a California up in flames.

In an excerpt from her book, ‘American Canto,’ she takes stock of scorched earth.
