UPS set to lay off 20,000 workers as it reduces business with Amazon
The shipping giant said the moves were expected to save $3.5 billion and were made in anticipation of “lower volumes from our largest customer,” which is Amazon.

Pete Buttegeig made this point last night on CNN. The war plans (Goldberg said they were very detailed, so much he wouldn’t print them) are on a secure system. To get them onto Signal, Hegseth would have to do a cut and paste. Labor intensive! Maybe he retyped?
2. Why did Hegseth copy war planning information from the military computer systems onto a Signal chat?

3. Hegseth needs to explain why he thought all those people needed the war plans? On MSNBC Goldberg indicated the Sec of Treasury was in the chat…. Why?

No matter what Trump officials say now, no matter how they try to deny it, the bottom line is that Pete Hegseth sent Jeffrey Goldberg shockingly detailed descriptions of the bombs that were about to fall in Yemen.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

The GOP's tax cuts for their billionaire donors ballooned the deficit, so they're blaming the problem on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid — demanding cuts to programs that millions of Americans rely on. It's socialism for the rich, harsh capitalism for everyone else.

A better America is possible.

Imagine going to the doctor and not being worried about the cost.

Imagine having three days off per week and being able to pay all your bills.

Imagine being able to go to college and graduate without debt.

It’s possible.

Why does the world's richest man want to gut the CFPB?

Because it would shield him from having to follow financial laws to keep customers' money safe — and give him access to confidential records about his competitors.

As companies shell out big bucks for Super Bowl commercials, remember that many said they were forced to raise prices due to inflation.

Also remember that average profit margins in nearly every sector in the S&P 500 are running near or above 10-year highs.

I’ll say it again. What makes this platform different is that it’s moderated. And, The Terms of Service are enforced. Bluesky is not like Twitter

The world needs a platform where people who disagree can have a real discussion.
The problem is you assume they want to "engage and have reals discussions on real issues." They don't. When confronted with facts, data, science, actual laws, and the like, they resort to spewing lies, disinformation and hate.
Some don't want posts like this on @bsky.app. I want more. Why ?

This is a moderated platform. Which means unbridled hate is removed. And blocked.

Making this is a platform where we can engage and have real discussions on real issues.

If this year taught us anything, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.

I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.

I am such a believer in this. Down-ballot is the way.

It’s also how we build a sustainable future of good leaders and infrastructure to elect and support them, as well as the movements they represent.

We don’t just need strong candidates. We need strong organizers, managers, CoS, grassroots, etc.
I’ve been organizing in rural areas since the first Trump administration. Rural Dems can make the difference in races at the top of the ticket.

Republicans have all of the electorate they’re ever going to have. Organize to turn out 5% to 10% more Dems in rural spaces. Watch what happens…
