Frustrated urbanist and active transport advocate in Brisbane, Australia.
This. You don't get to vote for a bill that enables [thing] to happen, and then get upset when [thing] happens.

Hahahaha, omfg!
November 27, 2025 at 4:47 AM
Bahahaha, this one from last month is just as bad. Also about a Brisbane hail storm.

He'll want one in his skin tone. Tomato red.

Higgins should be viewed for entertainment, not information.

1970s. I just hope they're still only reading newspapers and listening to talkback radio so they might not hear about the mind blowingly destructive legislation the conservatives passed in Ontario this week, banning bike lanes being built on existing car lanes...

Makes me so angry, Mark. This came about because lives were lost. I've written to MP Rowan asking for a please explain.

But this, plus axing the active transport corridor from the Logan faster rail project... clearly they are taking us backwards.

Oh why not? It's totally fun when you end up with 30+ cards in your hand.

It is honestly the worst. My wife bought it for our family last Christmas, and the police have never been called so often...

(OK also no less often, zero, but the point remains, it gets tense).

Cruel and unusual punishment. I'm going to the Ecuador embassy to seek asylum
November 25, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Can I please have the chair?
November 25, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Yeah I absolutely think they should. Preferential voting is keeping them in a majority, and we should keep that. But once a third party or independent candidate is getting 20%+ first preferences in a seat, then all bets are off.

And i may be too generous to Ed... he may just be acting out of spite for being dumped from the front bench
November 24, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Exactly. You would think the declining primary vote and dwindling membership might make them think "gee, maybe we should see if we're living up to our party values" but nah... only Ed seems to get it.
November 24, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Hopefully. But I fear most of them have front bench ambitions so they keep their mouth shut. Husic got dumped from the front so figures he has nothing to lose.
November 24, 2025 at 10:41 PM
It's incredible how easily Husic is shining a light on the corporate capture of the Australian Labor Political Party

Absolutely insane
