Absolutely WILD that the development of sofrware proceeded with so little heed to record-keeping that 52 year old source code is a major archaeological trove that requires special tools to gain access to, like it's a treasure room in a sealed royal tomb from 3500 years ago.

“As soon as I know some text is AI-generated: I lose all interest in reading it.
For performance reviews, I asked people to either not use AI or if they must: just write down the prompt so I don’t need to go thru the generated word salad padding.”

I've been thinking about places like this (and that one infamous Zillow house where you have to find the bathtub). Where each opened door just leads to an absolutely inane new location. Not quite "liminal space"... more like, "non-sequitecture"
