This makes a lot of sense considering where Patricia is coming from.

OSU run blocking is good not great (minus the TEs) but the thing that’s different in this Game vs last 2 is the OL is healthy and talented in pass pro.

Michigan has run more and more IZ to complement their OZ and moved away from their multiple gap stuff as the season has gone on.

Michigan vs Maryland plays a lot more C3 and C1 to match their RPOs. Watch the safety to the TE, will tell you if they’re 1 or 2 high that snap.

I think icing pretty much irrelevant but I hate Braun calling it that early. Should be trying to get it as late as possible and be okay with not getting it.

Rutgers playing a ton of true Cover 2. Don’t see a lot of true C2 to both sides of the field. Have to carry verticals up the seam and funnel 1 to the safety to take away the open middle of the field.
Smash is the classic C2 beater but also expect high/low in the middle of the field.

Michigan I think is trying to do something like this 7-man spacing even in an 8-man box with their fits but having their LBs fit the ball rather than doing anything special to make up for being gapped out.

Michigan has started to really make hay from Pistol running to the open side. They’re making it so the blitz is coming from the other side bc there’s no overhang strong to bring it from

Obviously 3 turnovers to 0 is a lot luck but when you aren’t constantly grinding edges you put yourself into spots where you can lose to luck.
If this D and ST was as well coached as it should be, we’d still be up 10.

Pretty sure that was just quarters to the Curtis side. He should’ve had a chuck and seen the route coming from a mile away. Don’t care for that one.
