"Earhole the Guard."

Hamilton isn't just blitzing; he's picking the Guard to create an alley for the stunt.

Even with the RB tracking him, the collision creates a 'ricochet' the back can't sort.

Great example of manipulating man protection rules.

"The Rams defense is built on lies."

Against Seattle, Shula weaponized coverage disguise to freeze Sam Darnold.

The result?

4 INTs and a massive 3.72s Time to Throw.

👉 Watch the Nickel.

When the Ni gets a Push!, that doesn't mean he needs to dive down on the ball.

That exposes the Seam underneath the Safety.

Hold the Seam & let the ball bring you down.

COF = Curl > Flat

49ers running Quarters vs. a Sail (Flood) concept by the Panthers.

Seahawks running an Inside Fire Zone vs. the Titans' weak side run.

👉 This is a utility pressure in the sense that it works great vs. zone runs & can be used to attack protections on passing downs.

The path is also great as a "Duo Killer" front side.

Example below...

Rams running a Wrap stunt with edge pressure to eat the RB vs. the Buccaneers for a sack.

👉 Wrap is already a best-practice 3-man game.

Adding the Green-Dog edge pressure creates a 4-man overload.

With the Nose & DE occupying the right side of the O-line, the wrap hits!

Rams in Base (3-4) but getting to a 6-1 pre-snap vs. a run by the Buccaneers.

LA is in Even Spacing (open B-gaps) with both iDLs in 2i's.

Landman "walks" to the line of scrimmage to complete the 6-1.

Rams running a Boss (Load) Front with a Not Stunt with a 2-man twist away for a sack vs. the Buccaneers.

The NOT stunt is a best practice around the league from overload fronts.

Adding in a layer like the Mike + Edge (MEX) stunt creates a layering effect around the pocket.

Rams running an Inside Fire Zone vs. the Buccaneers.

👉 This is a best practice Fire Zone that can get two defenders on the RB.

The Rams slide the Nose pre-snap (& roll back to 2-High) to get the slide opposite the pressure.

As always, ATTACK the back!

November 28, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Ravens running a Nickel Simulated Pressure (Tampa) vs. the Jets for a sack.

The wrap by the Edge to the top of the pocket as a spy is a nice way to counter an athletic QB.

👉 Nickel 2-Roll is probably one of the most popular Sims/Creepers in football.

Eagles running Roll Luggage vs. the Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb.

👉 Base Sam 8

"Luggage" is the Base concept for Sub Zeus, allowing the defense to "roll" their Half zone to their opponent's star WR.

Excellent job by Baun to feel the Dig behind them & take the angle to tip the ball.

Lions running a 1-Robber concept vs. the Giants.

For the pass rush, Detroit is in a Boss (Load) Front & uses a TEX stunt to get pressure on the QB.

Vikings running a double mug Cross-Dog simulated pressure vs. the Packers.

The insert on the RB creates a nice "pick" for the trail blitzer over the Center.

Though technically both blitzers hit the same gap, the path of the initial penetrator creates the Cross-Dog action.
