I do expect in normal parts of the field that OSU continues to leak RBs into the flat. LBs for Michigan look banged up and not running great

Metcalf got greedy on the long OSU run. Had leverage along with the LB. LB got shook but because he was keeping inside leverage.

First Michigan 3rd down Michigan was expecting OSU to pressure. Down and distance plus field position, common pressure down to try to knock O out of FG range. Ran double screen, but OSU dropped out into zone

Players best plays, don’t let disguise be your own enemy. Slot fade is the wrong read, but OSU still executed

OSU running counter OH. Play is blown up from the backside, but want to see if the front side is consistently able to manage post snap movement. They didn’t here

1st and 10, OSU ball. Max protect, wait for the dig to clear. Easy game

Good example of block destruction from OSU DL

Bit rusty… Ohio State vs PSU, 2025

PSU runs truck. Doesn’t execute it well but OSU DT baited off tendency, which allows an explosive

They are 100% triggering down hill when Michigan is in pistol or under center. Question is if Michigan can adequately pass protect to take advantage of it or try to find a way to get quick game out of it
Can see Northwestern bringing more and more pressure. Wonder if they’re not blitzing by formation. Pistol a common PAP or run look for us, not a ton of quick game.

Need to mix it up.

Michigan may wanna put the gap scheme PAP protections back in the bag today. Northwestern slanting a lot and the angles are getting the OL beat
November 15, 2025 at 6:03 PM
1st Q Possessions:
Michigan = 1.5
Northwestern = 1

We’re in for a low possession game today

Iso Run from 32P do the TD
November 15, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Someone get me the stats on most offsides penalties per team this year. Michigan gotta be up there
November 15, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Both Northwestern pressures came from the Ni spot + slanting opposite. Michigan picked up the Ni off the edge but struggled with leverage on the slant and then secondary rush

Michigan doesn’t have great RB depth right now. Stealing rest for Marshall by putting Bredeson at RB in pass pro situstions. Shows how much trust they have in him, because FBs aren’t getting a ton of RB pass pro reps through the year

Footing is always interesting in these games. Got the grass cut tighter than Ryan field always was. Could be a bit slippery for guys used to playing on turf though
November 15, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Willing to miss a few minutes of Michigan play if it means I don’t have to listen to Dave Portnoy talk about “honor and doing what’s right even when no one is looking”

The whole reason this movie is made is because, when they made Now You See Me 2”, everyone online was like “They should have called it Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” and they realized the people online were correct. So then they made a 3rd movie so they could use the title

Wolverine-Deacon Challenge logo at mid court looks like a couple of team branded toasters. Hopefully the winner runs around the court holding up a toaster trophy after to commemorate this great historic rivalry properly

The thing Bryce is going to have to learn is don’t make perfect be the enemy of good. Some good throws probably see him with about 120 more yards passing. He’s trying to make perfect throws hitting guys on a line so they can score TDs instead of 40 yard gains

I thought Chip overall has done great this year. One thing, Harbaugh tended to be over conservative in the low red zone but it worked mostly well because they could churn. Chip tends to get a little too cute from low red trying to steal a free TD instead of churning
November 2, 2025 at 1:40 AM
QB freelanced. UM showed a backside gap but that’s counter the other direction, blocked decently, and he ran away from it
November 2, 2025 at 1:34 AM
LBs look awful for Michigan tonight. Down Rolder, Sullivan, and Barham, Hausman is playing poorly and Bowles isn’t good. Big reason for Purdue averaging about 5 YPP with 65% success rate or whatever
November 2, 2025 at 12:05 AM
The success rate of doing this against stretch teams is crazy high. Really hard for the G to react here to block this up properly, because they are wanting to get out to the PSLB.

Can be effective vs gap, but more risk there if PST is patient or can log DE and widen scraping LB
Colts use an open side "Rip" stunt to shorten the edge vs. the Titans.

➡ Open Side = Away from the TE

A trend I am seeing against under center runs is to reduce (stunt) to the open side.

The concepts get movement to the strength while simultaneously shortening the weak edge.
