Got round to this novella by @leemandelo.bsky.social yesterday. Halfway through now. It's a thoroughly fresh, sharply written and increasingly sinister slice of queer historical Appalachian horror.

I'm absorbed, unsettled and impressed.

Morning Womble! I've just finished The Green Man's Holiday by Juliet McKenna and I'm about to go back to the beginning of the series for a complete reread.

I feel like I'm getting close to putting fingers to keyboard again. There are stories in my head, but they're not ready to emerge yet. And who wants to bother getting a monthly missive that says that?!

I know it'll all come together in the end.
