Hello! Hope you’re on the mend? I’m reading House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson. It’s gorgeously written

Happy Sunday Womble! I’m currently rereading Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie for the first time since it came out and trying to fend off a migraine (nrgh)

Got round to this novella by @leemandelo.bsky.social yesterday. Halfway through now. It's a thoroughly fresh, sharply written and increasingly sinister slice of queer historical Appalachian horror.
I'm absorbed, unsettled and impressed.

Morning, I'm just about to start Snake-Eater by T Kingfisher then the conclusion to the Sworn Soldier trilogy when I've finished that, so a Kingfisher week

I feel like I'm getting close to putting fingers to keyboard again. There are stories in my head, but they're not ready to emerge yet. And who wants to bother getting a monthly missive that says that?!
I know it'll all come together in the end.
And so, I go, to watch Mr AL attach door knobs...

I sent it occasionally up to about twelve months ago but it basically consisted of "No writing, only grieving", which isn't what people signed up for and then I ran out of puff completely.
Now it would largely consist of "no writing only house clearance/renovation", which, again...
