A while ago I started following the owner of Oaxacan based company, Oaxacanita Chocolate. The owner, German has done the whole ted talks etc to boost his brand. Meanwhile he is on threads supporting Trumps post to send drones to bomb cartels. Smh

I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

The appreciation for Mexico among foreigners often reflects a deeper search for cultural identity in an increasingly globalized world. Mexico and other nations with rich cultural legacies offer a vibrant history and distinct traditions that some diverse societies like the USA yearn for.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

Here’s what I know…today I went to a library + taught some new folks about craftivism. We sat in community. We learned things about each other. We talked about things we care deeply about. We laughed. For 2 hours that is all that existed. Real human connection + joy. Focus on community.

We need more cookbook clubs! I'm finally planning one with friends after years of saying I would start having them. Cooking got us through the pandemic; now, let's cook with friends and family!

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

The Supreme Court ruled corporations were allowed to donate unlimited amounts to politicians in 2010.

It only took them 6 years to take complete control of the government and 15 years to mark sure their voices are the only ones the masses ever hear again.

Have you asked family and friends what characteristics qualify a country as a democracy? It's sad that there is a lack of understanding or knowledge of the history of threats to one.

As I was trudging my way back home to Mexico, I felt absolutely terrible. That’s when my friend came to the rescue, offering me a magical cure: a refreshing pajarete de leche de Chiva. It was exactly what I needed to lift my spirits and help me feel a bit more like myself again! #mexico
