This isn't to say it's the only reason people love t'l, but it is an aspect of Mexican society that is alluring for many outsiders.

Mark, I believe we focus on that since all or most are not qualified professionally, and the broader public seems to focus more on our values or lack of them. I know it makes no sense, but it seems to be easier for people to understand than professional qualifications

Community organizations. We need more organizations on the ground creating space for us to come together, engage, and gain a sense of support and power to help others. Putnam was right, civic culture is critical and we need to get back to that. Social media isn't enough.
