Pro-palestine.
I must say that this demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of Protestant Theology. First, in Protestantism, humans are incapable of perfection. Jesus dies for our sins *because* we are incapable of perfection. We are justified by our faith, and through our faith we aspire to do good works.
On Judgment Day, I don’t want to hear “oh yeah, you, you’re the one who was a stickler for whether people had really repented enough to be forgiven”

I'm gonna be blunt here, if you think God is going to punish a person who was raped for never having forgiven their rapist, then we fundamentally disagree about how Merciful God is. Your God is spiteful, has unrealistic expectations, and doesn't forgive human flaws. Mine is none of those things.

We read this book in Theology classes. It's fairly short, but very impactful.
“Dorothy Day was one of a kind. Not a self proclaimed theologian but some of her insights on faith and love and suffering left me with a deep yearning to know the Lord as well as she did. Will have to read again.” —Jose Ovalle

I see constantly in programmers spaces tech people who embrace something so wholly that they fail to recognize and critique its flaws and downsides. Sometimes they justify the flaws, pretend they don't exist, or over-apply the tech.
This happened with blockchain, the "cloud", and AI.

Called every one of my Representatives here in Iowa to condemn them for this. In a sane world, this would be met with swift impeachment. Clearly we are not in a sane world.
The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

@leaflet.pub While I was trying to move one of my poems over to leaflet, I noticed that line breaks (br) inside one paragraph aren't a thing. This would be useful to have so that we can distinguish between stanzas and lines in a poem. (Usually the shortcut for this is Shift+Enter)

The most important part of Epstein Files Transparency Act bill, imo, is this, which details how everything that is withheld must be reported to Congress:

Loved this video! I'm tired of all the rich powerful men who think they can abuse people and get away with it. I'm glad a lot of SA survivors are getting justice, and I hope this continues.
Mainstream news covered the Jeffrey Epstein emails related to ppl like Trump. Today, I want to take a look at Epstein's correspondence with prominent atheist and physicist Lawrence Krauss, who asked the pedophile's advice on responding to accusations of sexual assault skepchick.org/2025/11/so-i...

Apparently Github went down? Well good thing we have @tangled.org ! :D
Decentralized Internet has constantly had a problem with onboarding, but I feel like @atproto.com is the one that has gotten it most right. It feels very natural. It's what I imagined Solid was going to be.

We also need people in the institutions to protect those who are forced to grow up as children in them. Which is something you people *constantly* ignore. How is leaving the church helping the closeted LGBTQ+ children in the church? It doesn't. It just further isolates them.

Didn't realize how many ATProto stuff there is now! There's a bunch of cool sites/apps: @leaflet.pub @stream.place @popfeed.social . Even @skylight.social looks interesting. I might be a convert from ActivityPub to ATProto now, lol.
Seems ATProto achieved what Blockstack and Solid aspired to have.

Here's a deeply personal poem I wrote about my experience with being gay, religion, and sexual assault:

I'm also working on turning this into a song, because I believe music will enhance the impact of the poem. I've re-introduced a cut stanza into the song version.

You seriously did not just say this...
You know you can refrain from posting on social media and, idk, pick up a book about SA survivors. You know, learn a few things, instead of spouting off shit you don't understand?
They should be brave like E. Jean Carroll.

And, well, it may be traumatic for some, maybe not so traumatic for others. A few of these victims admitted they kept going back to Epstein’s house, more than a few times (just saying).

NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

We've got a new block: POLLS!

And we'd love for you to test it out by voting on the top block you'd like to see us add — we've got a shortlist, but comment if there's another you'd put first :)

Coming soon: publishing standalone docs to atproto, to more easily make one-off polls for anything!
Polls in publications — what block should we add next?
Help us test our newest block type…by voting on what block to add next in Leaflet!

It's interesting to see two major things happening in MAGA cult right now: power struggles for succession, and factional splintering due to disillusionment from the Epstein files. MAGA is basically breaking up into smaller cults. Defections from MGT and others are also accelerating the split.

And to be clear, what MGT is doing is great for us, as long as we keep our heads and don't ally with an authoritarian faction just because they are rivaling Trump! Lol.

Precisely! I don't understand why people are assuming she's defecting to the pro-democracy resistance. She's not. She's defecting to the groypers. Why? Because the groypers are led by influencers that are taking over the party.
