The *point* of impeachment is to levy consequences against criminal executives, and remove them from their offices.

It would be stupid not to consider political consequences, but there are *significant* consequences for not impeaching—or even trying to impeach—criminal executives.

Just ask Trump.

U.S. Government Hit by Exodus of STEM PhDs Under Trump

This needs more sourcing and verification—we can't be too careful in this brave new AI world—but if true, this would be horrible.
What the hell?

Is this really the Minnesota State Police testing LRAD on protestors?

LRAD is a long-range acoustic device. Sound as a weapon.

Testing weapons on civilians is a war crime.

If this is legit, it means weapons of war against US citizens.

Oh. Ok then.

I was led to believe Obama was "Gun Salesman of the Year" because he brought up some mild restrictions on purchases.

I imagine, after this, firearm sales will go through the stratosphere?
Trump: You can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. It's a very unfortunate thing.

Using gen AI means sacrificing accuracy for convenience. Its purpose is to cut corners. If that’s how you roll, science has no need for you.
We’re getting so many journal submissions from people who think ‘it kinda works’ is the standard to aim for.
1. The thing about science that these jokers don't understand is that science cannot be vibe-coded.

Whatever its flaws, the point with vibe coding is that you're trying to quickly make something that sorta works, where you can immediately sorta see if it sorta works and then sorta use it.

Tear down ICE and DHS.

There shouldn’t be a Department of Homeland Security. It’s a grab bag of various agencies under a dangerously murky heading which can and now has been co-opted for a fascist transition.
Abolish ICE and redistribute the other agencies.
the only reason "abolish ICE" is seen as radical is that no one will say it but the far left. if every normie Democrat started saying it tomorrow it would move the overton window so far you'd have to squint to find it. my kingdom for leaders who understand they can shape public opinion.
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.

All great moves, Sen. Wyden, but ICE needs to be scrapped entirely and rebuilt from the ground up.

A clear mission, policies, methods, and limits focused on humane enforcement of immigration law. Founded as a mostly *civilian* department, not a paramilitary force.

Don't worry, they have the $$$.
For YEARS I've been on the forefront of trying to pass real privacy reforms to stop an agency like Trump's ICE from weaponizing your private data. Now it's happened, but it's not too late to act. If you care about this as much as I do, please let your members of Congress know.

Trump’s DOJ says DOGE isn’t an agency—just “advice.”

They axed workers, killed contracts, gutted programs.
Now they want SCOTUS to block watchdogs from seeing how.

This isn’t secrecy.
It’s sabotage—wrapped in a loophole.

Really the one functioning remnant of representative democracy we have left are the Federal courts. ...not even all of them, since many have been captured by Trump loyalists.

Federal judges should be applauded when they take even basic steps of protecting the Constitution Bill of Rights.
To put it another way: Courageous jurists on the lower courts have held back Trump from inflicting even more damage on civil rights and liberties. This timeline sucks, but the one in which the judiciary doesn't even try to push back is FAR worse. We insult these judges when we dismiss their impact.
I’m done with this shit. This isn’t a game. And if you don’t realize that the work of Judges Xinis and Boasberg and Ellis has been an essential part of forcing this administration to account for its actions, you’re not a serious person.

Sen. Van Hollen, please keep leading the charge.

And please tell your Senate colleagues that redirecting funds, or putting "conditions" on funds is not going to end this crime against humanity.

No more funding for ICE. Vote NO.
UPDATE: After seeing this video, I informed ICE of my intent to visit the Baltimore facility today. I was told I would be denied entry.

It’s clear Trump's ICE would rather engage in a cover up. I will not stop pressing until we get answers. We need transparency & accountability.
Like many of you, I have seen this video, and I'm demanding answers.

My team has reached out to ICE repeatedly and have yet to get clear answers.

Honeypot is the first card drafting game I've played in ages that truly feels like a breakthrough. So much tension, and such great table talk. I love seeing the evolution of the cards!
One of my favorite things to do is keep old prototypes and visually capture how the cards have evolved over time until the final product! These are some of the cards for Honeypot, my new "I stack, you choose" game that is going live on Kickstarter in February.

This seems like an illegal misallocation of ICE and well outside their mission?

If ICE can be assigned as Secret Service—what can't they be assigned to do?

This kind of unjustified mission creep is *exactly why* no further funding should be allotted to *any* current government organization.

STOP ICE. VOTE NO.
The ICE budget is so astronomical you have to imagine they will keep inventing new ways to use it and the mission creep has only begun. The budget will create its own permanent constituency of overreach on its own. Thanks Dems.
