people who are in the "AI" tech sphere simply do not understand how much people resent and do not want these enshittification plagarism algorithms and the airchoking data centers that they are needed to run on. no more pedo anime mechahitler archive broadcast nodes with bespoke private security
i think tech and ai positive people are going to be in for a big shock when anti tech and anti ai sentiment becomes a major part of leftwing politics going forward especially as datacenters continue to destroy communities and raise electricity bills
Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

I remember thinking planned obsolescence was the worst of capitalism. At least back then you actually had to make a product that worked, even if only briefly. Now your product doesn't need to work at all. It just has to inspire FOMO in finance bros for long enough for you to take the money and run.

don't give them blockers give them hormones then. blockers were the compromise
Yes but hormone replacement and hormone blockers are not insulin. Socially transitioning is a better call since the risk of the medications can be grave. Blaire white has lamented the infertility she got from these kinds of drugs and she wasn't fully aware of the risks as an adult.
imagine having to hear shit like "study confirms giving diabetic children insulin reduces their death rates by 100%" as if that hasn't been known for like a hunred years. that's what being trans is like

its really frustrating that "the truth matters and so does doing the right thing" is not a valid reason for supporting trans rights in mainstream discourse. rn the popular conception is that trans rights are a kind and gentle lie

heard someone say that calling trans women women was a "linguistic formality" and it highlights how liberal ignorance of our lives has evolved their supposed allyship into a kind of paternalistic pity in which they feel they are burdened w pretending im someone im not bc it's the "nice" thing to do

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

"HRT shouldn't be easily available because it can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing."

Go into Walmart and go down every aisle and take note of how many easily available things could fuck you up if you don't know what you're doing. I guarantee you it's a lot.

I do think young people should have access to puberty blockers if they want them but they should also have access to full, normal HRT if they want. Trans people should be able to go through puberty at the same age as and alongside their peers.
