It's important to know who said what and when because 1) it shows who to trust in terms of analysis 2) it shows potential targets of the state who to trust in terms of protection.

If they had power and didn't take Epstein or ICE seriously before 2025, they're bullshitting now. And that's dangerous.

Since all of the sports leagues want to use taxpayer money to build their stadiums, all of their games should have to be on free television.

Saw a post theorizing you now encounter more people listening to things on speakers in public spaces because Apple banning the headphone jack did not result in people switching to Bluetooth headphones, it resulted in people abandoning headphones. I'm on an airplane RN and. Thinking about that. Hard.

It's time for us to admit that food trucks are not equipped for events. They work well parked out on the street when people can walk by and order throughout the day, but they are not suited for big crowds. They don't have the capacity. We've been waiting 30 minutes in the cold for fries

imo "violence aimed at elites from non-elites" is the category of violence most disfavored in elite discourse. and violence that flows from elites to non-elites is not conceived of as violence at all. and these ideas frame the entire elite conception of who charlie kirk was and what his murder means
I think there are a lot of answers that have already been floated around here, and I've even offered some myself, but I did want to sharpen the question a bit.

If you coach kids, have kids in youth soccer, read this entire thread. If you have sock puppets, come back and repost/ like it multiple times...
I’ve been mentoring several coaches and did a coaching clinic for a club recently and the coaches who have been on the US coaching education path all keep reporting to me that they are getting teaching and advice that seems totally at odds with all the best teaching and advice I’ve ever received.

2) “Realism” is relative and subjective.

For me, I am less concerned about whether an activity “looks” like soccer aesthetically as I am about whether the player actions, behaviors, and decision are realistic, based on what I want to see when they play 11v11.

(And that isn’t hyperbole, I have the receipts)

Oddly enough (well maybe not so odd) I’ve taken multiple courses in Austria and Spain, and earned my UEFA-B in Wales, and never had any problems passing a course.

And I never felt like I had to try and be anyone other than myself in order to do so.

In the US, I struggled in the C license because I didn’t take the above advice. In the end I said “F- it! I’m coaching my way, and if it’s not good enough so be it” In the C it was. In the B it wasn’t. I was failed by a coach whose college team literally couldn’t/wouldn’t string 3 passes together

So many activities, tools, etc. that I have found transformative and effective, tools that you’ll see in use in top soccer countries, are on the “bad” list.

Rondos = bad
Non-directional games= bad
Neutrals= bad
Multi goal games = bad
Conditions and restrictions = bad…..
