Hyped to have this Riveters/Steel City piece on the cover of the @pghcitypaper.com this week! It's a huge moment for women's soccer and soccer in the city of Pittsburgh. The potential is here to turn this opportunity into something bigger, I hope everyone takes it!
Those salaries and increasing scale, exclusive of housing, insurance, etc. are very solid indeed. That's great news.

Hopefully that woefully low USLC number can get negotiated to a reasonable place with similar escalators, a work stoppage would be completely disastrous for the league.
Sources: Talks between the USL and the USL Players Association on a new CBA for players in the USL Championship are continuing. As part of this, the USL has proposed a set of minimum salaries for the new Division I league scheduled to begin play in 2028.

Pro-Am does not exist in the U.S. soccer structure and any reporting should mention that. This will not be PLS sanctioned. Players cannot be registered with USSF as "pro-am", you are one or the other. This will effectively just be an unregulated paying of amateurs.

This is fucking disgusting.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

The owners/league are never the allies of the players, remember that. They want to exploit and extract maximum value from them while giving them as little as possible in return.

Always support labor. Always support the NWSLPA.

As things stand now, the NWSL isn’t fighting for Trinity Rodman. It’s fighting against her, and shadowboxing with its own potential in the process.

A column, at @theathletic.com:

NWSL said it would fight for Trinity Rodman. It’s only fighting with itself
One way or the other, the league will set a precedent with Rodman. The NWSL has the power to choose what that looks like.

🟠 Houston Dynamo working on three key signings, advancing in talks but nothing quite done yet.

Expecting Houston to add a DP and two TAM signings over next few weeks.

Big offseason for the Dynamo, looking to add a number of key starters

The BBWAA has turned the Hall of Fame into a meaningless joke. It doesn't represent anything about the best to play the game anymore.

Not even joking, that OPI should be a loss of downs and the penalty yardage.

Nice of the Packers and Bears to provide another example of why that Baltimore TD was overturned. Same rule, same call.

The ghost of Jesse James won that game for the Steelers. That's a demon exercised.

PLEASE LET ME CALL THE PLAYS. PLEASE. I SWEAR I CAN DO IT BETTER THAN ARTHUR SMITH'S COGNITIVELY DELAYED ASS.
December 7, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Come on Arthur Smith, play to win the fucking game man. Get this coward shit out of here.

PATRICK QUEEN IS FUCKING SO GOOD

He never completed the third step before losing the ball. Clearly incomplete.

3rd and 19, so a flat route that gains give yards. Utter surrenderball from Arthur Smith.

Harbaugh maybe just doesn't know any rules at all, apparently.
Can't expect Ratbird fans to know the rules. Or how to read. Or really anything. Baltimore is an abomination.

Give me 16 teams, every conference champ guaranteed, and then full at-large bids the rest of the way.
My argument against the playoff from its introduction is that it's the only postseason in college sports that doesn't offer a bid to every conference champion and that remains true

I am fine with the CFP teams. The committee is awful, give me back the computers.

Flipping Miami and ND makes no sense. Should never have been ranked that way last week.

How can you drop BYU for the CCG loss but not Bama? Inconsistent.

There should be no CFP rankings before the final one.
