More Chinese #electrotech "propaganda" - the diesel freight truck is dying a quick death in China, and what's replacing it is simpler, more reliable, costs less in terms of CAPEX and OPEX, and doesn't emit local air pollutant nor GHGs. cleantechnica.com/2025/11/26/c...
China’s BEV Trucks and the End of Diesel’s Dominance - CleanTechnica
China’s electric heavy truck boom signals a freight transition as low cost BEVs outpace diesel and gas across short haul markets. Exports are rising.

Calgary’s 5A Network plan has mapped out 4,000km of protected wheeling lanes across the city. The amount the City has invested in office to residential conversions in the downtown (~$245M) could have built out 1/4 of the 5A Network freeing people from expensive car dependency. 🤔

Maybe another way to think of it is as the "participation line" - the income one needs to fully participate in expected aspects of US life without worrying about plunging into deprivation one way or another

An investor called $140,000 the new poverty line. Experts disagreed but said he had a point.
Michael Green’s tally of the costs of raising a family in the U.S. today is going viral, even if some economists scoff at his math.

It is undeniable that favours have been granted by the UCP and unethical behaviour abounds… the question is whether Albertans care any longer.

Sadly it appears in politics around the world demonstrate that people no longer care about corruption so long as they aren’t the one being inconvenienced.

This has obviously become necessary, and is obviously tragic - the world is becoming much more warlike.

For folks who have long derided American hegemony and called for a "multipolar world", well, this is what that looks like. Lots more war. Lots more defense spending. Lots more suffering.
Germany has drafted a war plan that would put 800,000 NATO troops in Putin's face if he attacked the alliance.
Sounds like something the United States of America would have done before the Guardians of Pedophiles party started sucking Putin's cock.

Frankly, this whole thing is a bunch of smoke & mirrors to allow a political win for both Smith and Carney. This thing will be locked in courts for years even IF a private firm can be found to back a pipeline.
