It’s the Labour “left” that is the problem for Starmer , not Reform..
Those on the left should simply get behind and support Starmer as their leader , and not spend their energy taking constant potshot’s
It’s impossible for Starmer to fight the media feeding the public propaganda to create news. Perhaps those MPs should all be doing a better job in their constituencies to better promote Labour and stave off Reform.
"This is the increasing worry among many Labour MPs and ministers: they see Starmer as simply unable to resurrect the party and hold off what is viewed by them as the utterly terrifying prospect of a Reform government.

Of course this isn’t evidence of anything the UK voted for.

This is just evidence of what the UK government decided to do to us.

That’s the mistake you’re making there.
Here's a useful reminder that this is exactly what the UK voted for (over and over again).

NEW: Andy Burnham blocked for standing in the Denton by-election.

8-1 against.

Lucy Powell only vote in favour.

No one comes out of this well. Starmer for annoying enough people that 'Call for Andy' has serious momentum such that blocking it creates a backlash.

Burnham for showing astonishing lack of foresight in not realising if he wanted back into national politics he had to get back in parliament in 2024.
Burnham openly gunned for Keir Starmer’s job just a few months ago. He barely even tried to offer a plausible narrative for wanting to return to Westminster except to be better positioned to mount a challenge.

Some of the indignation here feels OTT, whatever you think of Starmer.

Wow! 💥💥💥
I've seldom heard such an honest, measured analysis of where we've been and where we are geopolitically. Carney is a great world leader right now. Exactly the kind of voice we need to listen to!

Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.
