Gun Owners of America is lobbying Congress to pass the SAVE Act, which would require a majority of Americans to show a passport to register to vote.

But GOA opposes any law that requires showing a drivers license to buy a gun.

These are not serious people.

Utterly foreseeable and deeply chilling. FTC hiring an attorney whose full time job will be to, as Chairman Ferguson put it in his leaked memo to Trump when he was trying to get the job, fight the “trans agenda.”
Oh cool they’re going to try to use the FTC to go after trans kids now. Cool cool cool.

If I get fifty likes I’ll rename my account to “Primary Newsom Out.”
I’ve watched Gavin Newsom’s career for 20+ years. It’s a buffet of big lies & failed hopes

Like Trump, he breaks promises, serves billionaire interests & mistakes social media theatrics for leadership.

Is that what we need in 2028?

@apnews.com I think you meant to say a protester and an observer.
Renee Good was not a protester. Sue was not caring a sign. She was not chanting. She was not marching. She was in her car quietly filming.

She was not *even* a protester. And she still got shot.

A reminder: there is not a single housing market in America—not one city, state, or county—where someone relying on SSI can afford a one-bedroom apartment.

Deaths like these are always preceded by engineered abandonment. Disproportionate homelessness among people with disabilities is no accident.
High rents outpace federal disability payments, leaving many homeless
Supplemental Security Income, a federal program meant to be a financial floor for people unable to work, hasn't kept pace with inflation. Many recipients are homeless, unable to save for an apartment.

During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.

Good short thread that you should read the whole thing of.

People really don’t understand how hard and fast data center ramp ups for AI are going to hit us. Imagine doubling (possibly more) your electric bill within a year or two, and having frequent black outs from an overstrained grid.
Okay but you absolutely cannot be serious that we're just glossing over "there are more data centers under construction than there are active data centers in the U.S"
