In honor of BidBot being late to their live auction at @desertbus.org, please accept this ancient BidBot fan art from the early days of DBfH (one of the Moonbase Mk III years).

The difference between me and most people is that I will absolutely follow through with my most unhinged ideas.

When you can't remember if you're supposed to use Greek or Latin roots when naming your hydrates, and choose to give up instead.

I am getting podcast ads for both Jim Adler, the Texas Hammer, and Bill Adler, the Texas Hammer (who sounds like a discount knock-off of the former), and shouldn't that make them each A Texas Hammer instead of THE Texas Hammer?

Pilot had a massive ad spread in a jp newspaper with "make AI jealous" and "write what AI can't touch" written on it

Anyway I think everyone should own a Pilot kakuno pen

The various airways in my body are creaking and crackling and groaning as I breathe, like an old wooden ship.
The problem with being ill (besides, you know, the illness) is that I am an insufferably whiny baby when I'm sick, with no patience and no attention span.

So I can't even craft or watch a movie without wandering off to do nothing every 5 minutes.
*moves the "Days Since Chem Has Had an Illness* counter back to zero, with a sad trombone noise and a gurgling wheeze.

It's been a good run since Dec 2022. Guess I didn't drink enough fancy cocktails on vacation to disinfect myself. :/

Sports appears to have happened. CBC's gonna need a few minutes to think about it.

This hotel has a cocktail that tastes like drinking a boozy Riccola, and honestly? Damn tasty.

I would have paid money for art cards or postcards of these stained glass panels, but alas.

These are the size of a standing adult, btw. Absolutely gorgeous.

I am once again begging art museums to sell me small copies of the art in their collection, NOT mass market "famous artist" shit I can buy everywhere including Barnes & Noble and other random unrelated items.

Today's lesson, after hitting up 3 yarn stores: deep yarn culture, including knit/crochet/weaving, but very little spinning going on.

Lots of options for locally grown yarn, but only one store had a small roving selection and it was all from the big commercial suppliers (Manos and Ashford).

I wondered why the beer cheese with my pretzel bits didn't taste very cheesy, and then remembered I pitched up at a vegan pub.

This is not a complaint, mind you, but I did forget to adjust my taste buds beforehand. It's a good sauce but not the cheesy hit my brain wanted.

Cider's good though. 👍🏼
