This happened at a previous employer - they converted half of a large meeting room to office/cubicles and forgot to reinstall the light controls.

We all knew where the switches *had been*, but that was now a blank wall. 24/7 lighting, no way to change that.

Thought I'd seen it all at hotels buuuut-
Spent ~45 min looking for a light switch for a light I couldn't turn off
Eventually give up & ask front desk for help turning off light
They come up and turns out the light was installed TODAY & they forgot to put a switch on it

Thanks to the vagaries of pattern, gauge, and yarn, I find myself playing yarn chicken before having even finished the first sock of this pair.

I had 43 g of purple, and now have 23 g remaining, which means full purple toes are out.

Time to knit the second sock to this point and then make plans...
