Messing with clunky paintings to break them up and render them less literal. Oh, and truck fump.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

The “enemy from within” is Trump. The “violent extremists” are Trump lackeys who have turned ICE into fascistic shock troops. In response to Trump’s brutal, racist, and unconstitutional campaign of terror the country must mobilize collectively.

The “president” is not just unhinged & unwell. He is also a colossal vindictive asshole and a completely incompetent moron.

When I have more characters, I’ll tell you what I really think.

Where progressives went wrong was by big thinking big ideas without thinking an equal amount about how to talk about said big ideas with the vast majority of Americans, who just want to watch the game on tv.

Let’s spell this out. Trump fired a qualified U.S. attorney who refused to do his bidding and installed his own personal lawyer to punish a perceived opponent. Justice needs to follow the law, not politics.

This is an attack on the rule of law. Full stop.

Having just read NO MORE TEARS, a book about how awful Johnson & Johnson are, it is strange to be feeling sorry for Johnson & Johnson.

It’s true. 👇🏽 Buckle up n get ready to fight. Revolution is the only answer.
It’s heartening to hear many principled voices argue that those in office should wield political power in a way that they would be happy to have it wielded when they’re not in power. But it’s worth saying this clearly: the current administration is not acting as if it intends to be out of power.

Why, when one posts a post about peacefully reading on one’s deck with one’s cat, does said cat decide to immediately go get sprayed in the face by passing Mr. Skonk? 🦨🔥🐈‍⬛

Because everything is so awful these days even though the days are beautiful, I’m trying to take an hour a day to read outside. It is very nice to be joined by one’s feline companion as the sun sets on so many things. Thanks to Village Square Booksellers for THE GHOST LAB
