@jeremycorbyn.bsky.social @zarahsultana.bsky.social you amount to nothing. You’ll win nothing. You have completely nullified yourselves.
"A Corbyn ally admits this makes for "messy conflict", but insists the left is capable of embracing those who oppose transphobia while (highlighting) not subscribing to slogans such as "trans women are women"."

It's not a slogan. It's fact.

RIP Your Party. Stillborn.
Not being able to "subscribe to" the position that "trans women are women" is, in fact, rank transphobia.

(which tallies with the idea of bringing George Galloway on board, jesus wept)

Sacrificing whole groups of people is the path to fascism, not the path away from it
A lot of political influencers within the Atlantic/NYT orbit are very, very eager to sell us on the lie that we can get out of fascism by sacrificing trans people.

They will beat that drum even louder as the right weaponizes this tragedy.

They are liars now & they will be liars in the coming days.

Personally I think that Newsom is a slimy amoral sychophant who will sell you and your entire family out the moment it becomes politically expedient.

But hey, what do I know.

The reason so many people are fine with Newsom's treatment of homeless and trans people is because they think both of those characteristics are a choice that the individual can change if they want to avoid discrimination.

I think the fact that the president can make up a bullshit pretext about crime, activate various states' national guard units and invade a major city with basically minimal pushback of any kind reflects very poorly on Americans generally

As DC was taken over by Trump’s secret police, where were congressional Democrats? They weren’t in DC and some weren’t even in the US.

Instead of fighting back against the authoritarian takeover here at home, 22 House “Democrats” were being spoon-fed lies about Gaza on a trip paid for by AIPAC.

5 ways 'parasite-in-chief' Trump is turning America into a 'pale lifeless husk': analyst
According to one analyst, President Donald Trump is using the presidency as a vehicle to rapidly enrich both himself and his family at the expense of both tax dollars and the efficacy of federal agencies in five particular ways. In a Friday op-ed for the Daily Beast, columnist Michael Rothkopf likened Trump to a "vampire." He argued that world leaders like Trump are in office not to serve the public but to "suck that strength out of the institutions, economies and resources they have been entrusted with protecting and cultivating — and take the wealth, status and influence for themselves." "They are parasites. And Donald Trump is our parasite-in-chief," Rothkopf wrote. "... He is sucking the blood out of our country. If he continues as he has been, when he is done there will be nothing left but the pale, lifeless husk of the America that was." READ MORE: 'Even MAGA people smell it': Critic says Trump moves show he 'thinks his base is stupid' To make his point, Rothkopf observed that Trump was "demanding gifts from other nations," linking to a story about Trump's $400 million jet from Qatar. He pointed out that the president had "created elaborate schemes" in which anyone seeking to curry favor with him can by his family's official cryptocurrency. He also noted that the massive Republican tax and spending law "helped Trump and his rich supporters while burdening the economy with more debt." Rothkopf also hammered Trump for using the power of the federal government to "squeeze major corporations and institutions," referencing instances like Paramount's decision to settle with Trump over his lawsuit against CBS' "60 Minutes." And he also dinged the Trump administration for pilfering the government to advance his own personal goals. "Trump is taking resources from departments and agencies that benefit the people — from those that provide health care or vital health research or protect us from extreme weather or disasters — and shifting it to enterprises that enhance his raw power or that of a burgeoning police state that he alone controls," he wrote. "... All government agencies, which after all are created to serve the people and the interests of the country, now must loyally serve and never contradict or embarrass the Supreme Leader." "It’s not supposed to work that way. But it is where we are," Rothkopf continued. "... The only comfort we can take is from the knowledge that in the end, sunlight kills vampires ... We live in an era in which new social media and mass communication platforms are enabling and empowering all of us to contribute to that process. And that in turn is the only way to truly put a stake through the heart of this blood-sucking regime — that the we, the people, rise up and reject him and those close to him in every election that takes place from now until they are gone." I don't care if you don't personally like seeing someone in public

shut up, keep it to yourself, and let them live their fucking lives

This was always the goal of bathroom bans, to fully push trans people from any semblance of public life, and it won't end there either, the "gender critical" project is currently trying to exert pressure over businesses that hire trans people in the UK, so that trans people are unemployable...
This is legitimately insane. It's not an exaggeration to say this is actually a full on bathroom ban for trans people because they're banned from using spaces of their sex assigned at birth too!
