Wheriae and Petalvine hated each other.

And they loved each other.

Petalvine is dead, and, through a faun named Meadow, Wheriae is holding onto the very last piece of her to keep the world from falling apart.

Once again, fuck you Brian May for promoting AI. You should know better.

Baby jackassholes heard "eat the rich" and interpreted that as "anyone who has ever made so much as $1" and decided to fuck over creative indies first.

I was gonna make another thread about "don't pirate books" because it's happening again. But instead doing that, I'll just note that the reason so many books are shit lately is because you're stealing books from people who can't afford to live, which means they also can't afford to write good books.

Read this fucking thread.
I posted a buy link here to "A Magical Inheritance" a few days ago, and 24 of you immediately went to Anna's Archives and fucking stole it from me.

Yes, stole it.

I do not get paid for your download there because YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.

Oops Warcraft Lore Incoming:

Me in Warcraft/Early World of Warcraft: It really kinda seems like "the light" is an allegory for fascism and christianity, with "light bless you" being a direct descendant of "God bless you" and I can't wait to see what they do with this.

Not enough viruses to kill all your bacteria?

Problematic phage gap.
Somebody's taken out an entire chapter of your book?

Problematic page gap.
Wizard keeps throwing fireballs like confetti every combat while sorcerer keeps spending sorcery points trying to perfect subtle spells?

Problematic mage gap.

I remember reading something about how people who see color REALLY WELL don't like yellow, but I can't find that and I'm not sure if I invented that or not.
It's such a subtle difference in what yellow makes my brain freak out too.

First yellow: fine. Nice yellow. Chill.

Second yellow: untrustworthy. Possibly dangerous.

me being like "yeah yeah we KNOW they're in there. Release the files. Bring them ALL to justice." meanwhile he's thinking this is a deterrent. Why are Republicans like this?
LOL. Why does he need to sign a bill to release the files when he can just RELEASE THE FILES?

I love how ALL animals, regardless of what they are, from insects to fish to opossums, are like "LOOK AT ALL MY TEETH, FUCKER" when they're caught. (and yes, I count mandibles/chelicerae as teeth in this case, LOL)

This is the actual embodiment of "books as a product", and it is so, so bleak.

I don't think these people even like romance novels. They just sound exactly like tech bros who try to reinvent the wheel for the sake of it, without even understanding their own industry.
I’ll say this much: This reads exactly like what it is: people who discovered romance five years ago and decided they had all kinds of amazing new ideas to “fix” it. Connections between books? That feel kind of cozy to the reader? How did no one ever think of that?? www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/b...

Also: reach out to your local officials BEFORE you have a problem and don't be afraid to say hello. I know my city mayor and my senator.

Federal officials might be a little more difficult to introduce yourself to, but change starts at the local level anyway.

Do I have to start asking people if their dogs are vaccinated against rabies before I pet them?

Can we please stop with the anti-science shit? Your midnight stream-of-consciousness ideas aren't facts. Rabies is a real virus with a near 100% fatality rate.
